Harrow Council is proposing to redevelop the Milton Road car park to provide a 100% high-quality affordable housing scheme to offer fresh opportunities to local families, either stuck in unsuitable rented accommodation or looking to get their foot on the property ladder.

The proposals are for 32 apartments - 30 shared ownership and 2 wheelchair accessible affordable rent, and 10 affordable rent townhouses. These vary in height from three, five and seven storeys, providing 42 much needed high-quality new homes within easy reach of public transport.
The sustainable development will include new publicly accessible play and amenity space on Milton Road. It will also include a new retail or community enterprise unit on the ground floor of Station Road, 3 blue-badge car spaces plus 75 secure residential cycling spaces for new residents.

These brand new homes are designed for families, couples, first-time buyers and individuals on low incomes. Helping a real community to form will be central to the success of the scheme. Key workers will be given preferential access to the shared ownership properties, as will those with a connection to the neighbourhood.
